Weekend Reading 10.11.20
I hope you’re having a nice Sunday, friends. This weekend has been a much needed reset after a few very busy – but great – weeks. This past week found us in Acadia for a mini family trip with my mom and brother – believe it or not, it was my first time there! As expected, Acadia was gorgeous, but still pretty busy despite it being the off-season. Chris and I are planning another trip up before winter hits so we can do some actual hiking and a little more exploring. So with everything going on, and after a couple weeks recovering from a cold, this quiet weekend was exactly what I needed. Yesterday we cleaned up the house – not exactly news but man it feels great to walk on vacuumed floors – and I took a photo walk with Melissa. I also added a few listings to my Poshmark closet. I’m trying to get more consistent with updating that so I can actually free up some space in our closets. Today will be another quiet day. I’m hoping to start switching my closet over to fall and winter clothing (a process that always takes longer than expected) and want to take a walk downtown to grab a book to read. I finished The Vanishing Half last weekend (amazing, a must-read) and am moving on to this month’s pick from Cherry’s: the Southern Book Club’s Guide to Slaying Vampires (sounds perfect for the season). This week is looking blissfully quiet – I’m hoping to get out to take some more photos before the foliage truly leaves us, and am hopping back into my fitness routine after several weeks off. I hope today treats you well xoxox
Shopbop is having their first major sale since lockdown! I’m eyeing these jeans, these cute clogs, and these rad embossed boots
Made me laugh (and it’s too true)
Now that our house is clean I’m looking for a new candle or two to make it feel extra cozy - this handmade candle sounds lovely and this sage candle sounds like a fresh take on a fall scent
On stepping away from the news cycle
I’ve been looking for some new lighting for our place before the dark winter months, and I’m obsessed with the modern lighting options from this shop. I have this cute table lamp in my cart and am eyeing the chandeliers
The earrings in this shop are so gorgeous! Love this pair. I also just ordered a bunch of tiny stud earrings from this shop - they’re having a buy one, get the second pair 1/2 off sale right now!
Holy cow - did you know John Derian did a Target collection? It’s so good!
How cute is this DIY yarn pumpkin garland? This would be a fun craft for kids… or adults too
