Weekend Reading 10.18.20
Happy Sunday, friends. Last week was a rough one and I don’t think I’m alone in that feeling. With the election just a couple of weeks away, I’m feeling… I don’t know, stressed? Overwhelmed? Really stressed? Waking up at 3 am in a panic? Yes, let’s go with all those. This weekend – well, Saturday – I tried to unplug a bit and spent the day with my mom and brother – we walked the beach, made dinner… it was really nice and low key. Today I shot photos in New Hampshire for a job and ended the day with a little shelving re-organization and Gilmore Girls. I hope this weekend – and the week – was/is restful and better than the last! xo
The perfect sweater? I found it! It’s currently in my cart in black – I’m obsessed.
How amazing do these s’mores bars look? If the holidays were happening in any normal way this year I’d for sure be making them for our annual cookie party!
I just received the new face mist from Ogee and it’s amazing, especially for the drying fall/winter months. Remember you can save 15% off with the code ‘Julie5’ (and get a free sculpted lip oil with orders over $125!)
I love that we’re talking more about enjoying a childfree-by-choice life these days and this post from Grace hit home. I need to update my own child-free post that I wrote a few years back – seems time
Three books I picked up this weekend: There There by Tommy Orange (started it. Gut-wrenching but so good), Year of the Monkey by Patty Smith, and Euphoria by Lily King (found in a little free library!) (ps- none of these link to Amazon because Amazon is trash)
Much needed: how to plan a good day (and how to plan for a bad day) during the pandemic
How pretty are the sleeves on this dress? And it comes in plus!
These almond flour pancakes look so tasty
I love a novelty sweatshirt and this one is under-the-radar perfection (see also)
