Weekend Reading 9.19.20
Hello! How was your week? Heavy stuff over here. We recently found out that our building is being sold. Which is… simply put, exhausting to think about. We’re not sure what the future holds for our home, but one thing is for sure: 2020 has been a year of terrifying, frustrating, and emotional changes. Add to that the passing of Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg and I know I’m echoing many when I say, how much more? Please, please be sure you’re registered to vote and have a voting plan for November’s election.
On a brighter note, this weekend we’re taking it easy. The weather in Maine has turned crisp and clear - it’s a perfect early fall day today, just the best kind of weather. On Monday, my brother flies in from Oregon – I can’t wait! – and on Thursday I start a new part-time contract job. Not 100% perfect, but a little anchor in an otherwise anchorless time, and I’m really excited about what I’ll be doing.
I hope you’re able to get whatever you need this weekend, whether it’s rest, movement, whatever. As always, thank you for being here. XO

If you need an escape, read this: the Ascent of Mountain Runner Kililan Journet (just saying: Mont Blanc in four hours)
And an important read: How you’re most likely to get COVID-19 (wear a mask - these are my favorites)
I was browsing Etsy’s Halloween edit and found these pretty necklaces – perfect for any time, IMO
I wore these perfect ‘90s-style jeans in white on IG this week and received so many questions – they’re THE BEST but they run large! I sized down two sizes (to a 25) now I want them in this wash

Have you seen the new RMS Master Radiance Base? I’m itching to try it - it seems like the perfect “no make-up make-up”
I’ve been using this body butter to treat eczema on my hands and it seems to be working! It’s greasy but ultra-hydrating, especially at night.
Didja ya hear? Great British Bakeoff is coming BACK! In a biosphere!
What are you purging from your closet this fall? Love threads like these (and I’m getting rid of everything that doesn’t feel great on or looks tired)
I try to limit my purchases from H&M, but I’m very into this goldenrod-colored sweater and this coat (love this jacket too)
