Weekend Reading 9.12.20
Another pandemic week, gone in a flash. I brought my car in for service yesterday, which necessitated my first Uber ride since… February? It was weird, uncomfortable, and a reminder of why I truly can’t stand ride shares. Anyway, the experience put into perspective just how quickly time has moved since this all started – I can’t believe it’s already September and halfway through at that. We were lucky to have some gorgeous early fall weather this past week but I spent most of it knee-deep in job applications (I have an interview next week, though!). So today I’m looking forward to getting out and enjoying some fresh air. I think a trail run is in order or maybe I’ll take my SUP board out… how was your week?

I’m officially on the hunt for a coffee maker (and some great coffee and tea as always) – do you have one you like? I was picking up a few gifts for tea lovers (and coffee too) in my family and I’m VERY curious about that Carrot Cake Rooibos. A pal told me this coffee maker is great.
An important read, especially if you’re in the outdoor community: Racism and Profiling on Katahdin aka hiking while black (this one too)

I know I’ll regret this in February buttttt, I’m kind of excited for boot weather? I’ve been eyeing this pair (you can lace them two different ways!) and this pair (I have the red ones and LOVE this style for winter)
