Weekend Reading 12.20.20
Hello friends, happy Sunday, or depending on how you celebrate: Happy last Sunday before Christmas. Things are looking especially festive around here, thanks to the epic snowstorm we got last week. Aparently it was the biggest one we’ve had in years, which is really saying something because we only got about 12-16 inches. It reminded me a lot of the storms we got in the early ‘00s (and before). When it would regularly dump a foot or more – as much as it makes getting around easier, it’s nice to see. I’m looking forward to getting out for a snowshoe soon, and sledding! I haven’t been sledding – no joke – since my 30th birthday. Which is wild. Chris and I are spending today prepping for the holiday – we’ll be baking some gifts and if I can get my act together, I’m going to write out some cards. We’re keeping things very low key this year and only doing stockings and making a few gifts to drop off for family (we’re spending out Christmas at home, just the two of us, to stay safe). Will I get cards sent out? Who knows. Only time will tell. I was really hoping this month would be stress-free because I’m no longer decorating as part of my job, but turns out the pandemic just brought a different kind of stress. I hope you’re feeling ok going into this week – I know it’s been hard on a lot of people all year, but especially lately. Happy holidays, friends xx
I’ve been getting a lot of questions on Instagram lately about my favorite cold weather gear – there’s a blog post for that! Also, if you’re spending the holiday safely at home, too, I’ve shared my tips for making the most of it here.
