Do you ever find yourself thinking about "future vintage"? When I was younger, I remember going through boxes of my mom's old stuff from the 70's, while most of it only fit during my middle school years (my mom was way tiny), there are still those few pieces left over that have gained heavy rotation in my closet now. I find myself thinking about this whenever I purchase a new piece of clothing. Even though we're not planning on having children anytime soon, I still find myself evaluating almost every new piece based on it's Future Vintage potential. Will this be something that some future young person will flip out over? Of course, there's no way to tell for sure, but I think there's merit in attempting to evaluate a new item's staying power.

This dress, to me, is full of Future Vintage potential, along with just being completely amazing in the here and now. Let me tell you, I am in love. I know I've professed my love of maxi dresses before, but I'll say it again, I love them. I feel great in them. And I think it's important to have those articles of clothing that you can fall back on, knowing that you'll feel confident wearing what ever it may be.

Also, on a side note, this necklace is made of carved bone, which I think is a strange morbid contrast to the daisies. And I really like that.
